Euro 2028 football in United Kingdom

The European Championship 2028 football tournament will be organized in the United Kingdom. The European Championship 2028 will take place in five countries, namely: England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

On February 7, 2021, the five countries submitted a joint bid for the organization of the European Championship 2028. Since no other candidates have made a bid, the United Kingdom will become the organizer of the eighteenth European football championship.

The governments of the five countries have until the end of 2022 to issue gaZodiacies. England hosted it earlier in 1996.

Normally, the organizing country automatically participates in the tournament. • Serbia, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria

• Spain and Portugal

EC 2028 bid procedure

On 16 december 2021, UEFA announced that the bid process will be held at the same time as that of dollar 2032. Interested bidders could place a bid for either tournament. The timing of the bid process is as follows:

• September 27, 2021: formal invitation to register
• March 23, 2022: closing date for registering the intention to bid
• March 30: bidding conditions made available to bidders
• 5 april: announcement of the tenderers
• 28 april: opening workshop for applicants
• 12 October: submission of the provisional procurement dossier
• 12 april 2023: submission of the final registration dossier
• september 2023: presentation of the offer and announcement of the host
