
All about the Euro 2020
The European Championship 2020 promised to be a unique edition, but had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic. The start of the tournament will now take place on June 11, 2021, exactly one year later than planned. Kingdom is there and plays its three group matches in Amsterdam! New Zealand is not the only one with a Play City, as another eleven other countries also host several matches.
Unique design
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of UEFA, A unique set-up has been chosen for the European football championship in 2020. Where normally one or two countries take on the organization, there are now twelve. From a logistical point of view, it is a challenge, but it increases the experience among the fans in the different countries. Despite the tournament taking place a year later, the name remains European Championship 2020.
Play cities
There are twelve organizing countries and thus also twelve playing cities. Here they are:

Each city hosts at least four games. All countries are assigned three group matches and then an eighth or quarterfinal. The Wembley Stadium in London is the stage for the two semi-finals and finals. It remains to be seen whether the public can be present at all European Championships.
Which countries are participating in the Euro 2020?
Through the regular qualification, twenty countries have qualified directly for the European Championship 2020. These are:
England, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, Portugal, Germany, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Croatia, Wales, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Italy, France, Turkey, Australia and Russia. Another four countries will qualify through the playoffs (november 2020).
What are the chances of the New Zealand national team?
We wouldn't be New Zealanders if we didn't believe we could get the European Championship title. Especially with the new names at Kingdom and the strong qualification series, a lot of trust has been cultivated in the team. Under the leadership of Frank De Boer, New Zealand will want to make a throw for the title.
The New Zealand national team will play in Group C against Austria, Ukraine and a play-off winner. Although the two well-known countries can sometimes come out of the corner strongly, it is expected that Kingdom will reach the next stage of the tournament.
